About Us
Our Mission:
The mission of the Office of Dental Informatics is to ensure an information technology system (hardware, software, and personware) that supports the School's education, research, patient care and service mission. To achieve its mission the staff of Dental Informatics will:
- Provide reliable, highly available, scalable and state-of-the-art infrastructure that is secure, fiscally sound, and has responsive support;
- Collaborate with others on campus and around thre world to leverage existing resources;
- Enable the School's community to make optimal use of the information technology resources through information dissemination and training;
- Seek out, understand and respond to the information technology hardware, software and application system needs of the School's community; and
- Research new technologies and best practices, and convey these findings to the School's community.
- Provide services in a professional manner.
- Work cooperatively with University communities.
- Provide exemplary services that serve as a standard for others.
Structure
The Office of Dental Informatics is directed by Dr. Lynn Johnson, with administrative support provided by Diana Blackford.
We are comprised of three areas: technology services, applications services and the digital learning facility.
